Jeep Cherokee Limited

The Jeep Cherokee Limited came on the half of 1987. The Limited offered standard
luxury, performance, and convenience features. It came in with 4.0-liter inline-6
engine coupled with Selec-Trac. In 1988 the Limited was added with 2-door, while
the turbo diesel engine was subtracted. It had the eight-slot grille as replacement
for the 10-slot unit. The 1990 Limited offered the three-point seatbelts for all
outboard occupants, overhead console with compass, and outside thermometer and
storage compartments for a garage door control and sunglasses. In the 1992 model,
the Limited features leather seating.
For some time the Limited was replaced by the Country as the top-of-the-line
Cherokee but in 1998 it again made it to the top. In 1999 heated front seats was
offered as optional for the Limited. A new five-speed manual gearbox with improved
shift quality was featured in the 2000 model. It also had a light appearance through
the chrome highlights on the grille, headlight bezels, rear license plate brow,
and with silver alloy wheels.
